Technical Explanation
When a cloud gaming user rides a train across a city, the serving edge data center becomes distant, increasing latency. Rel-18 EAS Session Relocation coordinates the 5GC user plane with edge container orchestrators: the user's active session state is cloned over high-speed edge backbones to a closer target edge server while the UPF re-anchors IP routing without dropping the TCP/QUIC stream.
