PUCCH Format 0
Short PUCCH Sequence Selection Format
Short 1-2 symbol PUCCH carrying 1-2 bits of UCI via sequence cyclic shift selection without DMRS.
Technical Explanation
PUCCH Format 0 spans 1 or 2 OFDM symbols across 1 PRB. It conveys 1 or 2 bits of HARQ-ACK or positive/negative SR. Information is mapped directly to one of up to 12 cyclic shifts of a base sequence without requiring separate DMRS symbols, maximizing power and spectral efficiency.
Key Functions
- Low-latency transmission of 1-2 bits of HARQ-ACK feedback
- Transmits positive or negative Scheduling Request (SR)
- Uses cyclic shift selection on 1 PRB without DMRS overhead
