Other System Information
Non-critical system information (SIB2 through SIB9) broadcast periodically or delivered on-demand via SI request.
Technical Explanation
OSI comprises SIBs beyond SIB1: SIB2 (cell re-selection), SIB3/SIB4 (intra/inter-frequency neighbors), SIB5 (inter-RAT E-UTRA), SIB6/SIB7/SIB8 (earthquake and tsunami warning ETWS/CMAS), and SIB9 (UTC time). To conserve radio resources, gNodeBs can transmit OSI on-demand.

- Disseminates emergency warning alerts (ETWS, CMAS)
- Supports on-demand system information requests to save radio energy
