Extensible Authentication Protocol AKA Prime
IETF RFC 5448 authentication protocol supported in 5G for non-3GPP access (Wi-Fi) and private networks.
Technical Explanation
EAP-AKA' is an alternative primary authentication method in 5G. Running inside standard EAP encapsulation, it allows corporate enterprises, non-3GPP Wi-Fi access gateways, and IT networks to authenticate SIM cards using standard RADIUS/Diameter or SBA HTTP/2 gateways without 3GPP-specific lower layers.
