drx-onDurationTimer
DRX On Duration Timer
Duration at the beginning of each DRX cycle during which the UE monitors PDCCH for scheduling grants.
Technical Explanation
At the start of each DRX cycle, the UE starts drx-onDurationTimer (specified in sub-milliseconds or milliseconds). During this window, the UE's RF front-end is fully active, monitoring candidate CCEs in its Search Spaces. If a PDCCH grant addressing the UE is decoded, the inactivity timer starts.
Key Functions
- Specifies active monitoring window at the start of each DRX cycle
- Monitors PDCCH candidates in Common and UE-Specific search spaces
- Expires autonomously to allow sleep if no scheduling grant is detected
