CSI-RS resources configured in MeasObjectNR allowing connected UEs to measure neighbor cells for handover.
Technical Explanation
While idle UEs measure SSBs, connected UEs can be configured to measure narrow beamformed CSI-RS resources transmitted by neighbor cells. This provides the network with precise beam-level RSRP measurements, enabling seamless inter-cell beam handover in dense mmWave grids.
