CSI-RS resource sets configured with repetition 'on' or 'off' to enable Tx and Rx beam sweeping.
Technical Explanation
In 5G beam management: (1) Procedure P1 sweeps wide CSI-RS beams across all directions for beam selection, (2) Procedure P2 refines gNodeB transmit beams using narrow CSI-RS sets, and (3) Procedure P3 fixes the gNodeB beam (repetition 'on') while the UE sweeps its receive beams.
