Multi-Modal Ultrasonic and Sub-THz Centimeter Positioning Engine

Terminal positioning engine combining inaudible ultrasonic pulses and 6G radio time-of-flight to achieve millimeter-level indoor location tracking.

Technical Explanation

While 6G sub-THz radio signals provide ultra-precise time-of-flight (ToF) ranging, multi-path reflections inside complex industrial or home environments can introduce ambiguity. The hybrid locator fuses sub-THz radio ranging with directional inaudible ultrasonic chirp pulses emitted by the phone speaker and captured by nearby IoT microphones. By correlating radio propagation (speed of light) with acoustic waves (speed of sound), the terminal resolves position to under 3 millimeters.
