Technical Explanation
Spanning from 175 to 300 GHz, the G-Band approaches the far-infrared region where millimeter-wave radio transitions into quasi-optical propagation. At these frequencies, antenna wavelengths are under 1 millimeter, allowing thousands of radiating elements to fit inside a postage-stamp-sized form factor. The G-band is targeted for chip-to-chip wireless interconnects, ultra-high-precision radar imaging (<1 mm resolution), and short-range terabit data transfers.
