Technical Explanation
Modeled after autonomous driving levels (SAE), ETSI ZSM defines 6 autonomy tiers: Level 0 (Manual), Level 1 (Assisted Operations), Level 2 (Partial Automation), Level 3 (Conditional Autonomy), Level 4 (High Autonomy - closed-loop in specific domains), and Level 5 (Full Autonomy - zero-touch across all domains and lifecycle phases). 6G targets Level 5 full autonomy, where networks design, heal, secure, and optimize themselves continuously using intent-driven AI.
