Technical Explanation
Electronic waste (e-waste) and rare earth mineral exhaustion represent critical global crises. The Circular Economy 6G Lifecycle standard requires network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) to design radio and core hardware with modular hot-swappable sub-assemblies, non-toxic lead-free solders, and bio-based plastics. Over 95% of rare earth elements (neodymium, dysprosium in antenna magnets) must be recoverable at end-of-life.
