Technical Explanation
Passive spatial isolation reduces the workload of active analog and digital cancellation. By physically separating transmit and receive sub-arrays on the gNodeB mast, employing orthogonal cross-polarization (+45° / -45°), and applying digital beamforming weight constraints that place nulls toward local receiver antenna elements, base stations achieve 30 to 45 dB of passive self-interference reduction.
