Technical Explanation

Extending coverage across vast rural highways or national parks is economically hindered by the cost of running electrical utility grid lines. Because an NCR lacks baseband digital processors, it consumes under 50 Watts of power. Combined with intelligent sleeping when no cars are on the highway, NCRs operate indefinitely on a compact solar panel and battery.
