Technical Explanation
Instead of purchasing separate proprietary RFID reader networks, operators can activate Ambient Reader Mode on standard 5G base stations. Using software-defined radio updates, the gNodeB transmits specialized interrogator polling pulses and uses its massive antenna array to pinpoint and decode thousands of ambient tags across a 100-meter radius.
