Reflective QoS
Reflective QoS Mapping Mechanism
Mechanism allowing a UE to deduce uplink QoS Flow-to-DRB mapping rules automatically from downlink packet headers.
Technical Explanation
When the 5GC enables Reflective QoS, the network marks downlink packets with the Reflective QoS Indicator (RQI). The UE's SDAP layer observes the downlink packet's QFI and receiving DRB, and automatically creates a corresponding uplink mapping rule without requiring explicit RRC signaling.
