SNOW 3G Integrity Protection Algorithm

Integrity algorithm generating 32-bit Message Authentication Codes based on SNOW 3G keystream.

Technical Explanation

128-NIA1 processes message payloads through the SNOW 3G keystream generator to compute a 32-bit Message Authentication Code (MAC-I). If any bit of the signaling message is modified over the radio channel, the receiver detects checksum failure and discards the packet.
