N12 Interface

N12 Reference Point (AMF to AUSF)

Interface between AMF and AUSF executing subscriber primary authentication.

Technical Explanation

Realized via the Nausf service-based interface, N12 enables the AMF to request 5G-AKA authentication vectors, pass the user's authentication response (RES*) for verification, and receive derived security anchor keys (K_SEAF).
