Gateway function routing positioning requests between external Location-Based Services (LBS) and the 5G Core.
Technical Explanation
The GMLC serves as the secure external interface for location services (such as emergency E911 dispatchers, fleet tracking, and commercial advertising). It authorizes LBS clients, verifies user privacy policies with UDM, and requests location estimates from the LMF.

- Interfaces external LBS applications and emergency call dispatchers
- Verifies subscriber positioning privacy and authorization with UDM
- Requests and delivers geographic coordinates calculated by the LMF
