Type I CSI Codebook (Grid of Beams)
Standard low-overhead MIMO codebook using discrete Fourier transform (DFT) beam grids for SU-MIMO.
Technical Explanation
Type I Codebooks define spatial beams based on 2D Kronecker product DFT matrices representing a fixed grid of beams. Available in single-panel and multi-panel configurations, Type I codebooks offer low feedback overhead (tens of bits) and are ideal for Single-User MIMO (SU-MIMO) in line-of-sight and moderate scattering environments.
